What's the nicest thing you have ever done? I have done some pretty nice things for people over the years. The nicest I think would be when I skipped the St. Patrick's Day parade to spend time with my girlfriend. One of my buddies told me that his eyes that was the ultimate sacrafice.

One of my buddies had a little brother about 7 years old at the time. Well a couple of his older brothers had told him that Santa Claus was not real, that he did not exist! :bc: Well I felt so bad for him, he was so upset, that with Cristmas a few days away, I spoke with his Mother about it. With her approval, I dressed up as Santa Claus and showed up at his house on Christmas Eve just before his bedtime and knocked on the door. The look on his face was worth the price of admission, I will never forget how happy that little boy was to see that Santa really did exist. I gave him a few Star Wars figures all wrapped up, (Star Wars was all the rage at that time and those were his favorites) and he just had a ball. That is probably the nicest thing that I have ever done as a random act of kindness.:)

Thats an awesome story...Nothing like making a kid smile. Being a Rather round jolly bearded fellow myself I end up doing Santa once in awhile. They always look so Awestruck when they see you.

But unfortunately it made me dig this out of the archives....sorry :D

quickly i threw on a pair of dungarees and went to investigate'
Apparently some friends were visiting and having a party when one guy suddenly went totally bezerk and started running around at unimaginable speed crashing into walls and breaking everything in sight. The house was literally destroyed with broken things everywhere and the other people had fled for their lives. I walked into the kitchen and saw this bloody THING that looked like a werewolf and he ran up to me and instantly had all the flesh on my chest in both of his hands. Horrified and scared to death i knocked him imediately to the ground but he was up in a split second and had hit two more walls in the blink of an eye. Now realizing he was
having a truly Nasty experience and fearing for my wife's safety i tried to subdue him several times but he was as slippery as an eel. Finally i said ," Enough of this" and did a flying sizzor tackle
and Locked him up solid in a double leg and arm sizzor headlock.
It was ten oclock at night and i didnt even think of letting him go for 8 soild hours
until he started to quit fighting me. He eventually thought "Bluejay"
my wife Becki, was "Mother Mary" and that i was "Jesus Christ" himself, indicating that at least he could see. One more hour later i was able to release him and tell him what he had done. He thanked me over and over and cried like a baby. I saved his life.

Rick caught a bad case of Scarlet fever whle I was dancing to Scarlet Bagonias. Got back to the car after the show, and there was Ricky all turned purple in a puddle of his own sweat in the back of the car. Craziness, absolute craziness.

And I had to drive home from the show at 3 am. Luckilly for me, I was so sick that I was very sober at the time.:D
Anyhow, we got home, mom and dad were supposed to have left for the Cape the night before, so ten of us roll into my parents driveway at 4:30 am and they're just packing up to leave.
Mikey drove me to the hospital two days later (he was fifteen). I was so sick I couldn't drive...Anyhow, mom and dad found out about my condition and came to kidnap me and Mikey 12 hours later.
I had a lot of splainin to do,
Later,
Rick

i was doing a little trout fishing one day when i noticed a kayaker unload his new kayak onto the pond and walk away i guess to get his paddle, and the kayak took off with the wind... seeing that i walked quickly over to my van and grabbed another rod that had a heavy castmaster lure on it.... and i cast over the drifting kayak almost out of reach and snagged it first cast much to the astonishment of the befuddled owner. It was a slow retrieve but it worked and the happy kayaker got to go and have fun on the water.
