Something is screwed up with the Internet. Ican get to the site via IP address but painfully slow. I can also access the server but painfully slow. Looking into it right now.

outweigh power the one..... meaning you have access to many brilliant I . T. professionals and some that are not even members if you want to discuss the problem instead of going it alone... Just a thought . I'm sure many would love to help solve the mystery. But for security reasons i guess you cannot .

No Raven, I'm pissed 'cause I opened a trouble ticket with my ISP - that seems to be greasing it's wheels so it can go downhill faster than it already is - at 5PM today. At 7PM (turn around time USED to be about 20 minutes on a ticket) the guy gets back to me saying he can access my server and its been up for 2 days. But apparently he is not checking the named addresses I'm giving him or not checking it from "outside" the network to give real troubleshooting info.

All the IT Knowledge in the world won't compensate from one guy at the server end pinging the box from inside it's own network instead of quickly making even a small effort to duplicate a condition in a trouble ticket. Or when one guy at the server end of the connection won't look up the url in the ticket.

THAT is what burns me. I can't switch servers to the new box quick enough, believe me.

its something not in your control...my apologies. i wasnt trying to insult your expertise as a I t guy what so ever... i just thought it might be better if more people could help which in this case didnt apply.

Not insulted at all, just frustrated. What would have been a 20 minute downtime 2 months ago was 4.5 hours today. I bust my arse trying to keep the site solid but with my provider seeming to go down the swirly it becomes difficult to provide the level of service I want to provide... So I'm tweaked but by no means tweaked at you. Tweaked at Bassmaster ? Maybe, but that's because he's on the cusp of bringing muscle pants back into the realm of high fashion... :D
