View Full Version : Why, when I am completely exhausted does my barely significant other not get it ?
beachwalker 04-16-2004, 06:50 PM I am tired. Worked rather hard this week. Saw a film and had a great meal wednesday night. Did my chores haven't mentioned the "F" word since November and now she is ripshiite that I want to stay in tonight and do something tomorrow ?
Why do I even try and reason with these women ?
couldn't have anything to do with the game now could it ?

Women are like Stripers.... You chase them all your life and you still cant predict what they are going to do.. Some will break your heart and some are meant to be thrown back:devil:
Maloney 04-16-2004, 11:23 PM Going on 25 years. IT DOES NOT GET BETTER!
capesams 04-17-2004, 06:23 AM I get the same thing,,my wife teaches all week,,,I don't consider flapin ya gums all week work, so come the week end she all full o piss an let's go,go,go. me on the other hand ,being in the building game an plum wore out my body, feel like doing very little after work. So now on fri. nite's she's got this game of I'm not cooking tonite, let's go out..sometimes I drag my butt up an out, but other times I say FINE...I buy an you fly, bring it home to eat, I'm just to pooped to go out....she'll get over it.
beachwalker 04-17-2004, 07:40 AM ok
I get it I just am getting fed up with it.
think it is time to train a 18 yr old to fish and enjoy relaxation, not fear it. Something about they feel like they are missing something ? Like staying out until dawn after dancing all night and being useless the next day ? Or missing a couple of tides when there are loads of fihies inshore ?
yep, I am gonna break in a new one pretty soon. maybe sh'ell be a terror of the sands in the coming years, maybe not.
either way I listen to them if they listen to me. Seems fair doesn't it ?
:laughs:
oh yea, ya can't reason with this. i'll never learn.....:laughs:
RIROCKHOUND 04-17-2004, 10:09 AM Ah women.. cant live with em, cant throw em down a flight of stairs... been living with mf gf for almost 3 years, as long as we agree to disagree on somethings it's ok..
1. I use the spare bedroom as I like, the rest of the Apt, is hers and I try to keep it clean..
2. She doesnt talk politics and doesnt like it when I do.. sucks, as I like a good debate, but I can deal
3. I work, Alot!, she got used to it; that being said if we have time off at the same time, my ass is not fishing or I will sleep on the couch, (thats why I fish so much at night, she sleeps, I dont)
4. Dont bitch when she asks (forces) you to do something (family stuff today) and maybe, I can leverage an hour of fishing at sunset today, but I wont press the issue as I dont use cookies up to chase spring rats...
and BW... trade her in for 2 18 year olds, much easier that way :smash:
beachwalker 04-17-2004, 02:30 PM Thanks for the advice.
I think I figures it out.
It just isn't worth it. She is a gonner ina few days. she won't care, it's spring.
And I won't have one soul telling me I can't fish, etc. this year :)
I am really going to miss her.
:laughs: :laughs: :laughs:
MrsSFrances 04-17-2004, 07:25 PM boy you guys are tough:D...its those "high class" women..haha...see you gots to get yourself a woman that likes to do all you like to do......I find it funny when I read what you guys post about your gf's or wives....I hate shopping, unless I have to do it, but I dread doing it...I love the outdoors....I would rather be fishing then shopping...I hate getting all pa-doodled up to go some where, you know the whole make-up and hair thing...it just is not me...most of the time I am in a baseball cap and jeans:D
I dont mind getting dirty or slimy or smellin like a fish from fishing all night or day....
once in a blue moon i will bitch at the old man, but for most parts he does what he wants...the only thing is dont be late for dinner;)
you guys gotta find you some country women, I was born and raised out in the country and grew up a tom-boy.....
i guess thats why my hubster loves me so much...im not the normal girlie girl...not afraid of dirt;)
give it time you'll find what your lookin for:D
chris L 04-18-2004, 04:07 AM Im glad my wife hates me !
fishweewee 04-18-2004, 12:49 PM More often than not this type of behavior correlates very strongly with monthly events.
beachwalker 04-18-2004, 01:05 PM :laughs: :laughs:
That part I get and most of the rest of it
but I am a reasonable, fair and honest person.
why can't most women deal with that ?
This is a good thing that it is happening here. It wasn't that long of an ordeal.
here fishie, fishie. come on now. you know you want a piece of that minnowee looking thing..........:)

Crafty Angler 04-19-2004, 11:55 PM Hey, BeachWalker ya gotta understand, a man is always at a disadvantage in any argument with a woman.
Men always insist on using logic. :laughs:
FishermanTim 04-20-2004, 09:16 AM Have you ever heard the line ....
Women always want to change you into their vision of what the "perfect" mate is supposed to be, and then dump you for a guy who is the way you used to be like! :wall: :conf: :wall: :conf: :uhoh: :wall: :lossinit: :conf:
TBone 04-20-2004, 11:13 AM Oh crap! Moving in with my GF next month...figure it'll give me more time in the water because it was "I don't get to see you when you come back because you're too tired! When we move in together I'll get to see you more" ...Now she's got all these plans (like I can afford to do anything but drive to the shore). I ask for one thing with the new apt...a room to store all my fishing/hunting gear. I figure I can use the extra bedroom...but NO!!! That's the guest room! Our friends can't sleep on the floor or couch like we do when we're over their houses?!?!?! I figure the plan is to be as much of a PIA during the week that she wants me out on the weekends!!! Phew...I needed to get that out!
beachwalker 04-20-2004, 11:52 AM Thank god I live in a resort town. I could care less about this. The goof is that I was out last night with a friend who happened to be of the female persuasion and who do you think was there ?
In all her jealous glory. She starts whining about how good we could be, blah, blah, blah.
Thank god I am an Aries. I could give a flying f$#@k about her now.
emotional rollercoaster times 10

beachwalker 04-27-2004, 06:01 PM nice one bloo. place is pretty special :)
all one has to remember is to pay no notice to the antics of the summer idiot. most are real good people.
Heading out in about 2 minutes for my first casts of the year :D
Foggy ALL day :)
Raven 04-29-2004, 04:59 PM Dude,
as soon as they get MAD at you you've already won.....thats the perfect reason to leave to avoid a much worse conflict and the associated stress levels that go along with it....as STRESS is the number one killer of all in America (fishing being the cure for stress of course) and you are just out saving your Sanity ,your life, and your desire to pursue happiness.
So when you disagree bigtime ....its your ticket to ride baby.
that essentialy gives you Single again Privaledges even if its for a short duration as in 10 hours to go Fishing..... and if she hasn't cooled off by then then you go fishing for 20 hours then 30 then 40 then 50. if after all this time you still havent been missed or forgiven then "its time to redefine the nature of your association."
Never stay and argue..you'd be better off going camping and sitting beside a campfire with a cold case of beer and steak tips.
there's always more fish in the Ocean as they say.:btu:
