Hoping to fill it with cod tomorrow!!! Got home and worked on a customers truck the rest on the day. BigFish 04-17-2004, 07:21 PM Good luck tomorrow Ron!:btu: Striper1 04-17-2004, 07:27 PM Ron Nice to meet you there this AM .... lucky # 14 :D hope to see you on the bank this spring. Frank. Team Rock On 04-18-2004, 04:32 AM We fished the bank and other spots yesterday. We found some fish a few miles east of the bank in 220 of water. Also caught 2 haddock on jigs. Cod for the most part hit the white and pink teasers. Biggest cod of the day, about 15 lbs. was caught on half a teaser. Plenty of draggers working the productive spots. Van 04-18-2004, 06:35 PM OK Ron, I waiting for the report. I went by and saw you were out today !!!!!!!!!!! Brought the boat home yesterday, and worked on her all day today. and glad to say I got about 80% of my tasks done..... Especially the hardest ones..  Gonna fire up the engine later this week, pick up the repaired curtains, move a couple of snaps, touch up some bottom paint, and I'm good to go. Hey Van, Got out to the bank, fished with Joe and Charlie. We ;imited out. but all market size cod, no big ones, though joe reeled up a HUGE skate:af: Water was like glass all day. Ron Van 04-18-2004, 06:42 PM What is with him??? He caught the only shark the day we all went out. Must be a JUNK FISHERMAN ?????:smash: :smash: Vectorfisher 04-18-2004, 07:06 PM Oh you are killing me, I wanted to get out there today myself but had a little bout with some bad fuel Saturday so even after changing filters and running it again I was still hesitant, and of course tomorrow will be blowing 40 knots:mad: At least the fish are around.:) angler management 04-19-2004, 10:50 AM I was out on Saturday, I would have been happy to catch a shark! I would of been happy to catch a boot! Anything would be better than my nothing! :( :( :( :( :( :( But as they say a bad day fishing was still better than EVERYTHING! (Except a good day fishing) taJon 04-21-2004, 12:41 PM What size jigs are you using? 14 oz. or larger? Thanks, gonna try to get out on friday possibly. Bigcat 04-21-2004, 03:22 PM I was out today for about 4 hours north of the H bouy. I was marking fish but only managed one fish around 30". The wind really started to kick up and it was a wet ride back to Green Harbor :) taJon 04-22-2004, 10:05 AM so ahhhhh............what size jigs ya usin'? ;) fishsmith 04-22-2004, 12:17 PM tajon, jig weight all depends on how fast the drift is, I try to go as light as possible, but shorts and keeper cod will still hit a 32oz jig. It's all trial and error, if they're not hitting a jig try a clam or vise versa. taJon 04-22-2004, 07:06 PM thanks for the info. I'm new to the jigging thing. Wish me luck . Maybe the Porbeagles are around :) Raider Ronnie 04-22-2004, 07:53 PM Originally posted by taJon thanks for the info. I'm new to the jigging thing. Wish me luck . Maybe the Porbeagles are around :) You never know!!! Last Oct. I gigged up a 56lb Blue fin tuna !!!!!:laughs: Ron Fish On 04-22-2004, 07:59 PM Stop teasin Ron and give us the full story. We want to know start to finish especially how good the fight was and how long it took you to bring him in. What were you using for tackle, rod/line? Feel free to exclude the location if you want but I'd love to know where you were as well. Congratulations! Raider Ronnie 04-22-2004, 08:18 PM Ok, shimano tld 30 2 speed, heavy weight ugly stick, 80 lb power pro, 21 oz norweigan jig/ with 100lb teaser set up w 9/0 stainless hook 250lb snaps and swivels and orange surgical tube teaser.
