These are "Walmart Igloos". Not the same ones you pay $120 for at a marine store, though not bad for the $$$.

I buy the 162 Qt size. At The Sports Autority for around $ 180-190. This cooler at West Marine is 240. The same cooler, not a lesser model.

Igloo makes a 120, White with plastic handles, model name Sport, or Sport Marine, seen it labeled both ways.
They also make a 128, White with rope handles, model name Marine. Marine is noticably heavier, and ice lasts longer... wether it is worth the extra $ I dunno, but that 120 for that kind of dough, I'd say go for it!!! I've got both, the Marine goes on the looonger trips away from the ice maker.

what Karl said ! I have the marine and there is a difference in the amount of insulation they put into them . The marine is worth the money for the length of time it holds ice . I use block ice which melts slower than cube ice . Im going to get another one but bigger this time .

I have the Igloo 150 quart cooler from Wally-World. I've had ice in it for six days. I dont think there is a need for the marine cooler when the Wally-World one holds for six days.....

I own and use the standard igloo, the upgraded version (blue and white..forget what they call it), and the marine coolers. Nothing compares to the marine coolers for keeping ice. But the blue (body) white (lid) version isn't bad.

But for 120 quarts under $40...whose complaining!?

The Wally-cooler is pretty cheesy. Not bad for 40 bucks but won't hold up in a boat. I had a buddy blow one apart last season when we came off a wave. One minute he was sitting on it next he was sitting in it.

I got a umongous green cooler at Wallyworld a coupla years ago - it's a 120 but it's green and has a lift up lid in the top to access your beverage of choice.

I don't remember the brand, but I think it's a Coleman I only use it for my livewell on the patio to keep my eels, sprayed the inside black. Paid like sixty bucks for it. The handles suck.

BTW, Irishcurse, that's the best nom de net I've seen in a long time. :laughs:

Errrr...if ya don't mind me askin', which Celtic affliction do ya suffer from?

I know there's a couple. Just so ya know, a couple of my good friends are Irish (one is a fairly recent immigrant) - although I'm mostly Portagee myself, with Itralian and Swede mixed in.

Oops, sorry, thread-jacking -
