It's not just you. I don't think I have made a plug that takes as long to make as one of these. I turned the body then layed everything out before drilling or hitting the band saw. Yes very time consuming MAC 04-27-2004, 08:00 PM Originally posted by Backbeach Jake Ok, gotta have one . What's it gonna take? I'll see what I can do when I make a few more next week. David Manzi 04-27-2004, 08:29 PM doe.......... never looked at it like that BA, I had fun making it cause it is new to Me. But i think the hard part is cutting the V. I use My band saw and angle the fence and clamp a hunk of wood to fence to extend it and line up the lure ( have pencle Mark to get both sides right) I dont know if You notice But the mouth I used a brad point to make the cup and then I angled the mouth via belt sander. the hard part for Me was the front wire. I hope to make it in cave tomorrow to make a few more. You know what would be cool is after You make the cuts and shape it Just to wire the plug together after its been painted at the joints and then epoxy again. I think it would look trick....... Just a thought................ BassAssasin 04-27-2004, 09:06 PM That is the way I do the cut at the joint as well. You know what would be cool is after You make the cuts and shape it Just to wire the plug together after its been painted at the joints and then epoxy again. I think it would look trick....... You mean make a space but don't hinge it? I thought about that a while ago but havent tried it. You mentioned just making a U in the wire for the rear. I make a loop to keep adequate space between the front and back. BassAssasin 04-27-2004, 09:09 PM .. BassAssasin 04-27-2004, 09:11 PM .
