sorry to see that repirts :(
I know what it is like, and fingertips take a long time to heal.
I hope it heals up well for you.
BE CAREFUL!
I won't ask how it happened, but use a pushstick.

OUCHIE sorry my friend. Last year I was cutting a piece of stock on the table saw and I dropped it on the floor. I tried to bend over to pick it up and I got a terrible shooting back pain and started to fall. So natural reaction was to stablize by reaching for the table saw...... oops bad reaction took a chunk of thumb off. thankfully they sewed it back on: I can still type :)

My friend chopped his finger off with table saw ..he was going to pick it up and have it sewed back on ..Cat got it first and ran off with it . no lie .. Tell dad leave your saw alone.. He's just an apprentice and don't forget it ...

Most the old time carpenters always were missing a digit . tell your dad to take care of it and be thankfull It wasn't his casting hand. Christian remember don't allow your dad near that thing again unless you teach him the proper way to handle it. Give him a plug and let him rub it in his hands. Kinda of like a sercuirty blanket.
