View Full Version : Rhody Night Fishing
Anyone from Rhody been out fishing at night and had success without herring?
No spots wanted - just curious about the night bite. I've been remodeling and I have yet to wet a line.....
cheferson 05-09-2004, 08:17 AM I was out last night. There were tons of baby squid and minnows around. There was something chasing the bait , and jumping near the surface. I tried a few lures with no hookups though. I think they may have been herring.
Clammer 05-09-2004, 10:54 AM Yea ,,Joe =Plastics =====but not like in the Daylight////:confused:
Joe-
good tides for that place we chatted about in your kitchen the other day:D
RIJIMMY 05-09-2004, 06:19 PM Joe, I fished a night last weekend, got nothing. A few hours before I got there, there was a lot of action. I think the main bite has still been in daylight due to the water temp. Night should be picking up very soooon.
Clammer 05-09-2004, 11:45 PM Joe =just got in ,not the tide I wanted=but too nice a nite to pass up =============had fun ,they were small but hitting pretty good ==would have gotten better if I hung around for the tide to swing =============Not a person in site =gotta love it ////////////////
basswipe 05-10-2004, 05:06 PM Been doing great.Kastmasters seem to work well right before sundown and Bombers when its dark.
rockfisherman 05-10-2004, 07:47 PM You don't need herring. The Gags plugs have been doing just fine at nite.

yes, they are...profile is perfect. I've been using the blue back ones with good results.
Thanks for the feed back.....
Must fish....must fish...must fish...
I'll let Mr. Gags know that he's onto something!...
As if he doesn't know already!
No, he isn't...
It's a good excuse for me to give him a call though to see what's going on with him...
We were going to go out and toss some of his slammers now that the bass are in...
rwilhelm 05-12-2004, 01:14 PM They look like they would cast like crap. I think more intended for trolling?
RIJIMMY 05-12-2004, 01:25 PM TRolling? Bliz didn't you learn your lesson last year that boat fish dont count?
Just kidding
:laughs:
This won't go away.... will it.... :laughs:
I hope to not count many this year!....
speaking of trolling... how's Al's needlefish project coming along!:laughs:
Bliz you are one funny bastid:D
Ask Johnny Habs....
He probably wants to boil my private parts!
I still didn't manage to land a jointed for the Plug Project as a result!...
The whole gag was a dismal failure!
If anyone should be laughing... it should be Mr. Habs!
I gave him a lovely parting gift from png for being such a fine contestant on "this Plug Aint Right!"...
I have a better chance of seeing God than I do of ever seeing another Habs creation! :crying:
