Boy, I hope that is not a picture from this morning.......cause I got a permit in a line like that not too long ago in the same exact spot......just hoping it was an oversand permit that I got and not a marriage license.:smash: :laugha:

Larry, I think WeeWee and Bassmasters love affair might be cooling down, if that is so I think you and he would make a nice couple. First though he would want to see you in your Neoprenes, especially if they fit real snug in certain places. I saw the way he watched you at the MSBA show and could tell he was having impure thoughts as we used to call them in confession. :bshake:

Ron - we're a fishing board here and sometimes little Sally might be peeking over Dad's shoulder and doesn't need to see all this... Just need to clean it up a little...

Thanks,

John

Sorry John,
I'll try to chose my words different in the future,
But,
Just as you're point about you're daughter Sally reading whats posted,
Last night while watching the news, my 8 year old daughter starts asking me questions about what the news is reporting,
What am I supposed to tell her?
That some families have will have 2 mothers and if they have a baby the real farther came from a test tube and thats normal!!!

You could say it's normal for them.

I'm not saying I'm 100% behind gay marriage, but the notion of commitment is important.

Ron, I don't know what you should tell her Ron. I do know if my son were asking, I'd be sure to stress he show tolerance of it. When I was growing up, we "learned" from the older kids to hate this and hate that and a lot of that hate was wrong. Over time, I was engage to a girl that was a "hairdresser" and she worked with several, uhh, male "hairdressers" that happened to be gay, well, they weren't exactly bad people and I realized I was wrong on some things. I've worked with gays, lesbians, and "BIs" (fortunately no transgenderly-curious though Bob saw one of them down the ditch last year :laughs: ) and just like the rest of society, you had your good ones and bad ones. So I learned to be a lot more tolerant and thats what I'll teach my son.

It's not my way of life and I hope its not his when he grows up, but I'll teach a little of that "to each their own" thing. As for how to treat it by religion? Or by law? I'm not a priest or a judge. I know where I feel on it and I'm not a supporter of "Gay Marriage", civil unions OK.

When your daughter goes to college and when my son goes to college, they will see probably more than you and I will have seen (been on a college campus lately? or even in a school? it's a lot different when we were in), for good or bad, whatever. But I guess we want to teach them to at least understand that some people can have their own lifestyles and do their own things.

a couple of lines from an aerosmith song pretty much sums it up.

there's something wrong with the world today,
i don't know what it is,there's something wrong with our eyes.
we're seeing things in a different way,and god knows it aint his,it sure aint no surpris......we're living on the edge.
