View Full Version : water filter and psi regulator for compressor

now i have the compressor but i read somewhere you need a water trap and pressure regulator if your going to spray... any ideas... i was looking on amazon and saw a few grizzly setups..

what do you guys use on your compressors??

Crash, what kind of compressor do you have?Your compressor should have a regulator guage/ guages on it to keep the pressure between ,for instance 30psi to 50psi, depending on the air brush your using.
Some compressors have built in moisture traps to catch the condensation,especially, on warm days. If it doesn't have one you can buy an inline trap that fits on your airbrush hose between the compressor and airbrush. You need it so it won't spit out moisture to give an uneven spray.Hope that helps.:)

Crash both are a must, I found though a second moisture filter is needed. For the second one I bought the plastic disposable type from NAPA and put it where the airbrush plugs in so there is one right out of the compressor and one at the end of the hose. So far so good
