I have a '96 Yamaha 250. A compression check last year revealed a bad cylinder. Does anyone know a reputable Yamaha mechanic that could do the work within the month at a reasonable price? Whether it be at a boat service facility or as a side job for the mechanic.

Did you do a decarb?? My buddy had a bad cylinder in his 150, after a decarb it brought the cylinder right back up to par.

Worth a try if you haven't done so yet.
