So ....uh... being that this is the first time I'm fishing the Upper Cape (the lower Cape is called the Upper Cape, right?) - what should I expect to bring for plugs, jigs, etc.

Gonna see if Tattoo can illuminate it a little for me since he's a lot more familiar with it than I am - I gotta stop by his place on the way off the island tomorrow anyway.

Anybody got any pluggage recommendations?

Any general info on what's shakin' lately, what are youse guys seeing for bait?

Jeeezuz, I'm startin' to sound like you know who here :fishslap:

Hey, what's your favorite spot, anyway? :laughs:

I promise, I'll show you mine if you show me yours - uh oh, better be careful, don't wanna draw a crowd from the Lower Cape:happy:

Seriously, any thing outta the ordinary I oughta know for pluggage? I got a coupla good ideas, just wanna see if I'm thinkin' right before I start excavating in the tackle bunker tonite to pack my gear.

Thanks, men :tooth:

For the canal I like to use those plugs with 4 ounces of lead, a 8/0 hook with some deertail hair on it and uncle josh porkrind. Those plugs seem to work best for me in the canal.

Now for the Cape Cod shores, ya have to start with your needles, all sizes and colors and sinkers , floaters, and slow sinkrs. Then ya have your swimmers = dannys, pikies also bombers and yozouris. Make sure you bring metal too. Poppers, the usual is fine.

I don't know how far out on the Cape you will be going to , but there is fish somewhere, I will be trying to locate them too. Good luck

Got some big (well, for Rhody, anyway) 2-3 oz. jig heads with 8" Stamina grubs, black, white, pink....mebbe those felt scent strips I got in Woosta for the jigs too...

Okey-dokey....gotcha, roger that...btw, you guys seein' any big bait?
