Must have been sleep deprivation - where did you say you picked up the breakaway clips

Oh yeah, I've laundered the loaner socks - wash dry and fold :tooth:

Shoot me a PM if you wanna do some sightfishing for tog this week - I'm a coupla tog low after the last batch of chowda :)

You'll like it, trust me -

Hey, I just loves dem tog :tooth:

Besides, I was releasing the females and just taking the bigger white chins - Professor O'Nitis, the famous Irish marine biologist would be proud of me :p

Hey, Bry - do they still give ya one of those neat tog hats if ya get a tagged one? Capt Jay O'B. had one - it was pretty danged nice.

Probably not - Timmy probably spent all the hat money outfitting the RV Chafee :smash:

I'll PM ya the results of tomorrow's recon - this is strictly a catch and fillet fishery for me 'cause I wanna stock the freezer for next winter's chowda - but on light tackle it's a freakin' blast. Who would thunk it? :p

It really is sight-fishing too - you can often see them rolling on the surface and swimming within feet of you if you don't spook 'em - it's a real hoot. Don't know how long it's gonna last, it appears to be spawning and territorial behavior. I would guess the spawn's probably gonna end soon with rising water temps - gotta talk to my friend who's an RI principal biologist to see if this is true.

Oh yeah, when ya get on this side of the bridge wait'll ya see the 1875 tautog natural history illustration I just got - it's from the U.S. National Museum, the best I've seen yet. Beats the hell out of the Denton color tog (which I have but have never been that crazy about). Exquisite Victorian tog porn :hihi:

Anyway, I'll let ya know how it goes via PM

Geez, Bry hadn't heard that yet - man, I guess it's true, gettin' old ain't for sissies - I was gonna call him anyway at some point but may do so today if I get outta the weeds here.

Damn, maybe we can take up a collection for an orthopedic stool at the Hibernians :laughs:

I don't know if I'm gonna go in that place ever again, they've ruined it with the remodeling.

It's waaaay too respectable now for a guy like me :hs:

Had my very first beer ever there - yup, it was a Narrie longneck.

Like I used to tell a buddy of mine, "There's only two things in Rhode Island, quahogs and queers -

And I don't see any shells on your back, ya big bivalve!" :laughs:
