Mike P 07-18-2000, 11:39 AM John, I've been looking at the bluefish photo on the home page for a couple of days. Sure looks like that razor-toothed SOB has a death grip on the poor guy's thumb from the angle of the camera, don't it? I know that the fish's mouth really ain't all that close, it's just the camera angle, but coupled with the sort of pained expression on his face.....
eelman 07-18-2000, 11:51 AM Its not the way I would hold old razorlips !! Doesnt look at all like the guy is enjoying holding the toothey critter!! It does look like he is missing a thumb in that shot!! Hey ,John who is the mystery angler???
JohnR 07-18-2000, 12:18 PM And the "Mystery Angler" is....
Bill Bryant...AKA,dba,aliased,esq,md- Baitcaster (of Baitcaster and Fisherwoman fame)... Baitcaster being that he fish with conventional reels... He and his significant other are very good anglers whom I've had the pleasure to fish with on numerous occasions!! Mike P, do you recognize him? He and Fisherwoman fish alot with Squidmama (best name on the web ) and Roland alot. We'll also be out at the Derby first week of October. I think all of them are there for the entire derby as opposed to the little itty bitty week that I'm out there :?
I can assure you that he is no pain and that his fingers are all accounted for (or at least the 6 he had before he caught the fish...just kidding Bill)
fisherwoman 07-18-2000, 01:41 PM Hello everyone, I assure you that it is not a pained expression, but rather a little smirk!!!!! It was the 1st bluefish blitz of the season on the south side of the cape on May 10, we caught over 70 bluefish between us in 2 hrs. fish averaged about 8-12lbs, and the funny part was that there wasn't another sole around. Life is good!!!!!! I will admit that I took the picture and it does look like the fish is very close to his thumb, but it is just the angle of the photo, we are a long way from shore to put your foot on the toothy criter and take the hook out of his mouth, this is the best way to hold these fish when you are away from shore and have to get the hook out of them to release them. I just can't wait until the Vineyard when they come back around and are close to 20lbs. BRING IT ON!!!!!! Can ya take the pressure Johnny!!!!!
JohnR 07-18-2000, 05:58 PM Juls, I took the liberty of putting a smile on his face. I know he's happy , you know he's happy, but for the benefit of everyone else....
So, how is the shoulder and neck doing? Feeling any better?
See ya...
John
fisherwoman 07-19-2000, 06:38 AM Hey John, shoulder and neck are starting to piss me off, not getting better, now they want me to go to a neck specialist, they aren't sure what is going on there. I am getting real tired of going to the doctor all the time, still having PT 3 times a week, hopefully it will all come around soon. Been doing a little boat fishing lately, but that has been about it, the business is slowing down, probably the hot weather and lack of positive fish reports. Getting ready for the vineyard, can't wait, you and your wife will have a great time, how is she doing? how is the house thing going? We are going to fish the tournament this weekend, hopefully we will get a few nice lunkers, have ya heard of any bluefish in the area at all? Hope all is well with you, we will talk to ya soon.

JohnR 07-19-2000, 07:09 AM FW, sorry to hear that you are still in pain. Just be sure to be recovered for the Vineyard!!! House is coming along, should be moving in by this time next month. Baby is coming along as well. Felt the baby kick for the first time day before yesterday ... As far as the Bules go, all I've heard points to Stellwagen Bank and the North Shore. Nothing rumored locally that I've heard...
See you this weekend for the Tournament...
'Luck,
John
