I'm looking to revamp the reports section. What would work best for you all. What would you like to see, how would you like most to contribute to the reports?

New Photo Gallery system,
Tourney Results pages,
Updated NPSFA pages,
Updated & better links...

I don't think we ve been to good about using the reports section. Most guys just post reports on the main forum in with everything else. It would be a good idea to also list them in the reports section. In other words , you may post a post on the main section that says "went fishing with smokey Sat. Bluefish were in Greenwich Bay. Trolled around and had fun. , etc , etc" and then also put in the reports section "Fished Sat in Greenwich Bay from 11AM to 4PM. Lots of small blues near Sally Rock."

Anyway , just a thought to get some reports up in a way that people don't have to read every post to get to the ones that are buried 2 pages back and 4 replies down on a topic that is titled "Tried out my new rod".

You know what I mean. I hope. :)

Saltheart is right... its not you that has to make the reports section work, its us. Certainly if you get report every week from say, a tackle shop, that could go in there.

But really, we all should be posting in there... I always forget.

How about a couple differant sections: For instance a shore report & boating report, maybe for specific areas: such as from Charlestown Breachway to Watch Hill, Green Hill to Point Judith, just some ideas!

John I think the shore and boat reports is a good idea, but all that other stuff is probably too much work for you. My only suggestion is maybe put the reports section between Stripertalk and #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&. I think that Saltheart and Schoolie are right we just have been too lazy to put them in the reports section. By the way I am glad you got rid of that Mike Bartlett guy, he post on every site I have been on. If he want to advertise , he should donate something to you or the board, or pay geesh.

I think 179 has the idea....do different sections...pick the more frequented and popular areas like suggested and I bet more people would be inclined (less lazy??) to click on say "Charlestown" and go from there than to actually make a separate post about it ......or you could just do away with the reports section all together and allow us lazy bums to post as we have been! :O

OK - that sounds good... Uh, 179? If I did one section covering Watch Hill to C.B. and another from Green Hill to P.J. - It would take 437 different categories to run the coast all of the way up to Portland Maine, hehehe - How about one section for Rhody, CT and south, Mass (2 sections?) and NH/Maine...? Howdzat sound?

I don't think I've ever even looked at the reports section, so I can't really comment.
