He sucks......what more can I say! Two errors the other night and at the plate......he blows! The guy does nothing to contribute! He has sucked since he got hitched! And if I gotta watch him do that freakin' wrist thing that he does one more friggin' time.....why, I think I might just blow a gasket!:af: I just don't like the guy......I have never liked him! Just never thought he was nearly the player everyone claimed he was! Nothing personal....just another flash in the pan player as far as I am concerned! Get rid of him, he is dead weight!:smash:

Me!!!
I'll take Derick Jeter over him and A Rod anyday!!!
The guy is just a winner.
A Rod is great but what did Seattle or Texas ever win with him!!!

You guys should get rid of him and Buckner. Buckner looked fat and lazy on that play last nite, and then he blamed it on his glove. I thought he retired?

Get rid of Ortiz? Granted he is no defensive dynamo, but he's only one of the best bats in the league.

I thought Jeter sucks ?

Can't you guys make up you mind ?

i say trade nomar for whatever you can get for him, prospects would be fine. he sure looks a man biding his time, playing out the string. better to get something as oposed to nadda. he does not make this team better, saying ba bye to him would clear up the gkut of infielders.

28Inches...if you are serious about trading David Ortiz.....then you must not know a heck of alot about baseball!!! How many errors does Ortiz have this season???? Any???? So he makes one error and it happens to cost us a game.......so waht, not like it happens every day! Look at Nomahhhh.....two games against the Yankees this week and the no good bum has three errors and they were all costly!!! He truely does suck!!!!!:af:

David Ortiz for President!:D

As my brother's t-shirt says
Yankee's Suck
"Jeter swallows :D :D :p "

Seriously though I think Nomar is in one of his funks, unfortunetly, he seems to get in these from time to time, it sucks, but thats what he is, hopefully he'll snap out before he costs us any more games!

That "Jeter Swallows " thing has so little impact when the Sox suck so bad.

bigfish, today's magic word is "sarcasm". Get it? Can you use that word in a sentence? Tell me that play didn't remind you of Buckner last nite. Another scene from the all-time Red Sox highlight film. Absolutely hilarious. And I see you guys have another genius managing the team this year. Very good strategy to take out a guy we can't touch. Brilliant move.

The year is still very young..Last time I heard the season is 162 games...GO RED SOX:D

another observation... the yankees looked very professional and we looked (for the most part) like amateurs.

You must be kidding me!!!
Jeter has 4 world series rings and is the all time hits leader in world series play!!! Enough said, by the way, how many hits did Nomar have in the playoffs last season when the sox needed them the most ?
He could suck or swallow for the next 10 years and will be a first ballot hall of famer for sure!!!

I have to laugh every time I hear someone say that Bill Buckner was the cause of the Sox losing the 86 world series!!!
How come people don't make more of a big deal that the relief pitchers blew the game for them !!!
I think it was Calvin Sheraldi ? Bob Stanley ?
The sox would never have been in the post season that year without Buckners Great bat !!!, If he made that out, he would probably be in the hall of fame, just look at his stats when he was with the Dodgers for years and winning batting titles !!!

Stanley threw his first pitch a mile outside in the dirt and on one hop to the backstop. That allowed the tying run (Kevin Mitchell?) to score from third. It didn't help that Gedman tried to backhand the ball instead of trying to block it with his body.

Then there's Johnny Mac leaving Buckner in the field instead of putting Staple-gun out there for defensive purposes.

Of course, everyone also fergits the Sux blew a 3-0 lead in Game 7. As I recall, Buckner's error was in Game 6 :D

Mike, Ron, you're right. But you know if you mention the '86 Series, the Buckner moment is the first image that comes to mind.

Seeing that Nomar had the night off and had a front row seat to the action,
I hope he was taking notes on how Jeter & A rod ply defernse.
They both made 2 GREAT plays to keep their team in the game!!!

28Inches.....NOTHING reminds me of the Buckner play/game (and I do not nor have ever blamed Buckner for that game....he was just a part of a huge mess).......RIRockhound....if what you say is true about Nomahhhh being in a funk......he has been in a funk his whole career and particularly the end of last season, thru the painful playoffs and up until now! He has simply been a flash in the pan....and his glove has been absolutely awful!:smash:

BF, did that homerun last nite remind you of anything? Bucky Dent, maybe? Or, Aaron Boone, perhaps? Add that one to your list of historic RedSox moments. :laughs:

yeah, same result, but it was a hell of a game to watch last nite. might be time for the sox 'braintrust" to do something, not just sign the immortal pedro astachio.

I think second base down in the Bronx would be just fine.

Man, you guys just don't get it.

Fresh back from an injury with eerie similarities to Jeter and his #^&#^&#^&#^&ty play after returning from the DL.

we'll take him :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
