Mr. Sandman 07-01-2004, 01:42 PM Don't feel bad Wasque is thick with weed its been nearly unfishable lately. Last night was impossible. I think we need a killer storm to blow this out and then let everthing settle down. ragfly 07-02-2004, 11:50 AM Hey Sandman how's it going? We have had alot of weeds up here in Maine this year as well. Normally we get them in August. We need a big storm as well. Mr. Sandman 07-02-2004, 12:19 PM RAGFLY, Weeds for some reason like wasque this time of year. We are entering summer here now...the surf scene is late nite affair but still pretty decent most nights... Wasque near the beach is weeded up pretty good. But the rest of the place is very fishable. Boat guys are hammering them at all the usual places. Lots of 40's and a few low 50's caught. One in a kayak on tues. Fluke are in pretty solid. Although somedays are much better then others. Blues are spotty. I have been getting them while fluking:confused: in deep water and they like to bite my fancy $7 plastics in half right out of the box first cast:af: while surf fishing. I think I may dig some clams today...whats a 4th of july party without clams? :) I still see guys fishing for squid! My freezer was filled with all I need by the time you left. One or two good nights is all it takes. You guys were fishing up a storm non-stop that last trip. We are still chuckling about your response to my sons question...When you you sleep?...."Plenty of time to sleep when I am dead!" (or go back to work):laughs: It was nice meeting you...I don't see that many sb.com'ers (beside the winter event which was fun) vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
