I heard word of a 70lb Fluke (new state recore? ) being caught down near or in the canal!!!!:eek:
Anyone else heard this ?

70 pounds?
Sounds like a small halibut. I think the Mass state record for fluke is around 22-23 pounds.

I looked in the 2001 IGFA record book (not sure where the more updated copies are) and it shows the All Tackle record at 22 pounds set in NY in 1975

Don't think fluke grow to 70 lbs.
Maybe a halibut.
Talked to a comercial dragger that pulled up two halibut around 30 lbs in RI waters last week!
