What is the best tide/time of day to wire line jig for stripers at Race Point? I have done it with charter boats before but never on my own, so I wasn't paying attention to that kind of detail. I would appreciate any help you guys could give to a newbie like me.

From dawn until about 10. From 5pm until dark are the best times. You will catch all day long there though.

It gets REAL busy and hectic out there on the weekends. Lots of boats between charter boats and recs all draggin 300 feet of wire through the same area with some not knowing what they are doin.

We have found that once the tide goes slack, the fish shut off. Then once it gets goin, it turns on. We did alright out there yesterday in that vicinity. Still lots of boats for a weekday.
