View Full Version : I have been robbed!!
macojoe 07-07-2004, 10:04 PM I have been bring my boat camping with me for 10 years now when we go camping in Wareham!! We have neer had any problems!
Till now~! My boat has been down there since last tue.
I went down there yesterday afternoon after working a 36 hour stright shift!! and 5 hours of schooling fr the job, total 41 hours from 12 midnight Sun to 2 pm on Tue!
I thought I would have a nice day on the water today the only day I have off till next Wed.
Got to the boat hooked it up and went to put my rods in and BAM! No fish Finder (Lowrance X 71 1 season old) No GPS (Garmin 12 Handheld) with all the fishing # in the last 5 years!! No flare guns, tools, Aftco gaff, a made by me 1 season old Lami Glass wire rod with a Penn 114 full with wire, 1 tackle box with 15 cape cod jigs for jigging, 6 bags of Ledge Runner's I just bought!!
And just to be a$$hole's they took the only key I hd for the motor out of the ignition so I can't even start the boat!!
Ok I have cryed long anough!! :af: :af:
cheferson 07-07-2004, 10:13 PM Sucks bro, i feel for ya.
bassmaster 07-07-2004, 10:32 PM that pisses me off:af: sorry for ya stuff being ripped
a^$holes
Notaro 07-07-2004, 10:41 PM Not again!! Why are people robbing a fisherman's stuffs instead of sticking him up for the cash?
missing link 07-07-2004, 11:14 PM man that sucks!!!!!!!!!
i will keep a look out around town and in the local newspapers for your stuff.
:af: :af: :af: a$$holes!!!!
BEETLE 07-08-2004, 05:51 AM beat em senseless if you catch him.
Slingah 07-08-2004, 06:30 AM I feel 4 ya Maco Joe...:af:
jugstah 07-08-2004, 06:35 AM These types are the scum of the earth. When their time is up, they will not enter the Pearly Gates above, they will be having a date with the Devil hisself.
Next time someone comes up to U with some cheap used tackle punch him in the face it'll get around to the culprit.Only kiddin what a shame sorry for ur loss.U just can't trust anyone any where anymore its a shame.
slapshot 07-08-2004, 06:48 AM Wow, thats awful. That happened to a few of the guys I know in CT last year. They busted some guy down on the CT shore for going through people's boats and ripping off the electronics at the marinas. Will your insurance cover it? Truly sorry about the loss of the waypoints, those are hard to replace, I know.
maco- I hope the bastards who grabbed your stuff are involved in a boating accident soon.
Karl F 07-08-2004, 07:09 AM macojoe, that's horrible!
Hope they get caught.... any ideas as to who?
afterhours 07-08-2004, 07:31 AM some people really suck and deserve to be used for chum!
macojoe 07-08-2004, 07:35 AM Thanks guys!
But they will never be caught. There is no idea who it was and they think it was someone from out side the park? The back gate was left open and they figure that they came in from there??
I think not because there were 2 camp trucks broken into, a person that works on campers had his van stiped of all his tools, and then my boat and another.
Someone new were to go! They didn't just pick all this stuff random.
All I can hope for is that if they ever need to use the Flare gun it blows up in there hand, The GPS screws up and brings them to big water!! And the boat there in breaks down and I am there to help them and see my rod in the boat!!
Really the thing that pisses me off the most is the lost of all my numbers!!! I do this commercial and there are some real good numbers that these yahoo's have no use for!! And then taking the key! :af: what good is that doing them??
O well today is a new day and I am going to start looking for New GPS and Fish finder
Saltheart 07-08-2004, 07:52 AM That sucks! They will probably sell the stuff for a song to buy some drugs. Despite everyone hating to get ripped off , there are plenty who will buy the stolen property at 10 cents on the dollar.
I once had my outboard stolen. marina put out an alert through some marina organization and the motor was never found. Need stiffer penalties for those who do get caught (very rare anyone ever gets caught). I hope the park locks the back gate from now on!! ??
Death Penalty should apply to "boat thieves"
That really suks..:af: :af:
JohnR 07-08-2004, 08:38 AM Sorry to hear this MJ. Sucks. Sadly the person will probably not be found...
chris L 07-08-2004, 08:44 AM Joe that sucks !
Mr. Sandman 07-08-2004, 09:03 AM These are the "sportsman" of today. People who steal, lie, cheat, and litter.
I suggest you go rambo and set a trap....buy new stuff, leave it out and pop his ass with a spear gun.
He may not be found but he will be back...
Flaptail 07-08-2004, 09:04 AM :rocketem: :behead: Be armed and be ready........
Shawn B 07-08-2004, 09:05 AM Joe, that really sucks man. I to normally bring my boat camping with me and I am always worried about leaving it when we leave camp. I normally throw the fishfinder, tackle, and rods into the truck just because of dirtbags like the guys that ripped you off. It's a pain in the a$$ to do but I just don't dare leave all my gear unattended for to long. It really sucks we live in a world where we can't keep a couple things inside our boats w/o them getting ripped off.
S-Journey 07-08-2004, 09:45 AM That sucks--
It will come back to them, it always does--
Hope you get your stuff back, things work in mysterious ways sometimes and hopefully this is one of those times
Jetta 07-08-2004, 10:44 AM Sorry to hear, I'd be monitoring Ebay for the stuff.

beachwalker 07-08-2004, 11:33 AM That is bullshiite :af: :af:
Sweetwater 07-08-2004, 11:36 AM Check Ebay for your items, a lot stupid crooks will steal things then try to sell them on line.
rwilhelm 07-08-2004, 11:40 AM That is lame you cannot trust anyone.
fishaholic18 07-08-2004, 11:41 AM Sorry to hear that MJ.

Young Salt 07-08-2004, 07:33 PM Bad karma, very bad karma
BigBo 07-09-2004, 03:24 PM MJ's luck is about to take a better turn.
:soon:
macojoe 07-09-2004, 04:54 PM Yes!!
I have all new stuff on the way! I have a Garmin 162 Chart Plotter, this is a upgrade from the old handheld Garmin 12 Handheld!
I have a new Garmin 160 Blue Fish Finder on the way also, This is a down grade from the Lowarnce that I had but it is all I need.
And since they are old modles I am getting them real cheap!!
I have already picked up some more jigs and will have to use a old retired rod for wire for the summer. I will build a replacement rod over the winter.
I will be shopping for a new Jump Starter this weekend, and the rest of the tackle I lost.
So life goes on!! And so am I!
Thanks for listing to me bitch!!

Fish On 07-09-2004, 10:45 PM Joe if your new stuff is not ready to fish yet and you want to jump in with me for a day next week just to get a fix you are welcome to. You could come flukin on Wed. as you would normally do. I'd consider it an honor to have you guiding me and and a friend for fluke in the sound.
Sorry to hear your stuff was stolen. Hopefully you'll get a lifetime best fluke or bass later this year to help make up for it.
