I couldn't reply to your PM cause the box is full. Here's the answere to your question
I suppose anyone can tie on the new guide. Be sure they use the same size and style guide which is a fuji BSVLG 30. that rod transitions from spinner guides to conventional guides to increase distance. If they replace that spinner guide with a conventional guide , you will lose casting distance. Be sure to specify cause my guess is they won't understand that layout and will attempt to use a conventional guide for a replacement.
the other option is to get it back to me.
PS. I hope the blank didn't get damaged by the car door! be careful.
