Hopefully my new rod will be, ahem, dry enough for this weekends fishing expeditions to the WICC tourney... 5 guys fishing a 20 foot Gray DC dodging the drunks in Long Island sound - hopefully we'll survive the weekend... http://128.241.205.103/vbulletin/images/smilies/behead.gif

What are you all up to?

Going on a live bait bonanza on my buddy's boat out of Falmouth. He's two eel traps set that have been filling this past week, and Waquoit apparently is brimming with everything from sand eels to peanuts to mullet! He picked up a new seine for some "gathering." We'll also pick up some scup for livelining the rips around the Vineyard and the Islands. Basically loaded for bear and seeing how much damage we can do. May even have fun with some funny fish if we can find a pod and bait them to the boat tossing out handfuls of livies. Should be a fun weekend! Hope everyone has the same....

Not sure yet. Grass cutting of course :( . Maybe a sun up at the south shore, if not defintely some early AM largemouth. I wonder if it would be any good to liveline all those bluegills my junior stripermen catch? They certainly do resemble spot, a well know "Rockfish" bait.

I gotta work all weekend :( We are implementing SAP at work and this weekend is the integration testing. Maybe....Maybe I can sneak out very early Sunday morning and get my feet in the sand before I have to come to work. That would be nice.....show up to a room full of people and I'll smell like pogies and eel.....:p

Good Luck all, at whatever you do.....

I'm concerned about our chances for hitting my good spots CM, this winds been blowing pretty good all day. I'm also hoping it lays down some tonight. If we go outside, there's a good chance it will be wet, so BRING A GOOD FOUL WEATHER SUIT. Talked to FW so I've got the scope on Boston if it's too rough to get outside. Let's hope for the best, because I'd like to show you some ok spots  and although I've done ok in Boston in the fall, I don't know it like FW/BC.

Glad you had fun, it was great to fish with you finally, just sorry it was so snotty outside. Mike and I had trouble keeping our feet under us this morning and after maybe a half dozen fish, we decided it was just getting worse with the turn of the tide. I'll bet your glad I told you to bring a foul weather suit ;) , even a bright sunny day in an open 19 foot aluminum, can mean a good old fashion drenching.

We tucked inside the north river, along with everyone else it seems, because the spit and main channel near the mouth was like a parking lot. It took us a while to find some active fish, but we managed some additional fish in the river. Although it wasn't a hot fishing day, it was good to meet and fish with Mike. I hope to get together with you come fall, to maybe catch the tail end of the fall migration, before they leave RI for good.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
