Scam artist. I had my boat on the market for a while and I get a call from this con man. He tells me he is a free lance yacht broker and he has a client for my boat. After sending him some pictures and details he calls me to set up an appointment with him and his client. He calls me the day before and asks me to send him a letter stating that I am willing to pay him a 10% commision. I ask hime to email his standard contract. I don't have one just send me a letter. My ears perk up with this. I ask him to give me his tax Id number so I can add it to the letter. I don't have one. Do you have a fax ..umm no an office ...no. I tell him we can discuuss this when he comes down to see the boat with his client. He shows up and their is an uncanny resemblence between him and the client. I asked if they are related and it is his brother.
