View Full Version : Where is Devcon?
Motor Fish 08-05-2004, 10:19 PM Maybe it's just me, but I can't find this stuff anywhere. Devcon 30 minute, 2 ton epoxy, can somebody point me in the right direction. I checked Michael's, Homies, Lowes . . . nothing. I wanted to use it for a top coat.
Thanks again
Any good hardware store should have it.shop it around some fishin (flyshops) will overcharge big time.
Karl F 08-06-2004, 07:02 AM my local true value has it.
Jigman 08-06-2004, 07:59 AM Walmart usually has it around the paint section.

Hi Striperknight,
I cannot wait to hear the response to your Plug Project donation on the 25th!
I'll be in touch to give you feedback!
Bliz :)
Motor Fish 08-06-2004, 01:19 PM Any idea how much epoxy I'll need (approximately) for 12 plugs?
Thanks again.
Striperknight 08-06-2004, 02:16 PM I go through the devcon like water. I'm constantly fixing all my kids toys. What does not get used on toys gets used on flies.
I would say 2-3 tubes should be enough for 12 plugs.
Motor Fish 08-06-2004, 03:20 PM Is devcon available in larger tubes or maybe even . . . vats, like envirotex?
I'm thinking ahead for once. As soon as this batch of plugs is done, I'm sure there will be another one, and another, and another . . .
Thanks
justplugit 08-06-2004, 04:20 PM MotorFish ,do a search on Shop.com,they have it,largest i think is 25ml.
Striperknight 08-06-2004, 04:51 PM I've seen it in bigger quantities at fly shops but its expensive.
Charleston 08-06-2004, 08:35 PM Ahh, so that's why the Wal-mart in Howell is out of Devcon-30. Come to think of it, so is Countyline Hardware:smash:
Motor Fish 08-06-2004, 11:53 PM Hit the Walmart in Abington tonight after work and proceeded to clean them out of Devcon 30. Thanks everybody.
