Yeh, apparently the geek gene did skip his generation because he put in a highly likely ficticious e-mail (geek@aol.com) addy so he couldn't confirm signing up.... dumbass :laughs: If/When he reads this we'll see if he can kick it up a notch...

I think its pretty funny when people think we are geeks. When you consider that most people's hobbies include watching TV and drinking beer (which is fun, don't get me wrong)... I'm not sure how fishermen are geeks.

I'm sure some of you guys listen to WEEI Sports radio here in Boston. On numerous occasions, they have ripped fishing. One time it was because they were talking about a Tarpon tourny on sports radio in Tampa.. recently, because the shark tourny got some play in one of the papers sports sections.

That's pretty funny coming from people who spend all there time watching and talking about sports. Playing sports? No, watching sports. You know, with their greasy, chip eating fingers smearing the remote... drinking a big Gulp they got from the local convenience store.

Fishing saltwater in a boat or by surf is a very active and complicated "sport"... I think alot people think of fishing as a can of worms and a red and white bobber and sitting at the local pond for hours without catching anything but a couple of sunnies.

I don't think they really know or appreciate what its like out there... and that's fine.

Since i was the first Bomba, and maybe the first bald man to join the board back in 2001, I must proclaim myself leader of the skins.
The docs are ready and since I'm in charge, I pick green suspenders.
The laces and they can also double for St. Patty's fun!
ps- notice no sleeping pictures of me on this vacation.
Later,
Rick
Larry, welcome to the dark side!!!

Referencing 2 different movies.

"A Clockwork Orange" and "The Warriors"

The "I'M singing in the Rain" reference that NIB made is from A Clockwork Orange, The lead character sings it as he kicks the crap out of this guy in the movie, so I followed it up w/ a Quote from the Movie and also Thought the "Fishheads" could be like one of the strange Street Gangs that the Warriors meet in the Movie as they Try and make there way back to Coney Island.

Hope this clarified things :D

My calculous teacher in HighSchool used to tell us that we nerds were the ones who would own and operate the world.

That was back in the mid eighty's

I have to say that he was right.
