View Full Version : For the good of everyone who likes to fish in solitude ThrowingTimber 08-20-2004, 07:32 AM What is the first rule of spot club? or if you prefer.. ¿Cual es la primera regla de club de lugares? RIROCKHOUND 08-20-2004, 07:35 AM Fished in near solitude all AM, the only company was Bassassin, but he was invited company... too bad only small fish... oh well, such is life and fishing BigFish 08-20-2004, 07:45 AM TT....there are alot of "heros" out there! Know what I mean?;) Bedford Blues 08-20-2004, 08:02 AM i enjoy fishing alone and avoid fishing in crowds. Learned the Hard way about the "followers". Was a member of a small fishing club in the late 80's. The bass and blues i brought in gained too much attention. My truck became a landmark and advertisement for spots. People would drop by and say "so this is where they are! etc Now i walk. Release ALL fish for many reasons. I know that if i am seen with a "keeper" walking, that there will be 20 or more fishing there in a few days.Word of mouth travels never mind the inter blab. This is a great site. You guys have got it right. 5/0 08-20-2004, 08:24 AM I have found that when you see people walking by / or riding the Canal bike I just look @ the water & fish. No words,no look no Nothing! It kinda suck's to be like that but, if that's what it takes to fish in solitude/pice of mind, then sobe it:eek: That kind of behavior is against my grain but IM really tired of baby sitting:af: 5/0 ThrowingTimber 08-20-2004, 08:48 AM There is no spot club Nebe 08-20-2004, 09:46 AM is there a report club??? 5/0 08-20-2004, 10:39 AM I think so.....How bout you. Eben congrats on you new Keepah  5/0 Thanks! its a fine balance betwen reports and spots. I've noticed that if one person gives out a positive report and people know where he fishes, the spot will still get burned.. now i just keep quiet... or wait till the bite dies. wish i had a current report:( Jigman 08-20-2004, 11:52 AM So TT, you got any good soap recipies :laughs: Jigman ThrowingTimber 08-20-2004, 01:34 PM No but I make a killer little peanut bunker. bart 08-20-2004, 03:29 PM mmmmmm.....peanut bunker  ThrowingTimber 08-20-2004, 04:36 PM The blue fish trash 'em, but thats what they are for so.... asi es la vida MAC 08-20-2004, 04:49 PM Originally posted by ThrowingTimber No but I make a killer peanut butter and jelly.  :laughs: Nebe 08-20-2004, 05:04 PM i thought it was peanut bunker and smelly jelly:drool: BasicPatrick 08-20-2004, 07:14 PM Originally posted by Eben is there a report club??? Here's a fishing report that I hope all the "jamokes" (translation: Moron, step in my bootprint chasers) read. "There have been a ton of 40 lb fish at the East Wall, way out at the end between the end and the Center Wall. You gotta fish it at high water in a full SE gale with water coming over the rocks. Note: Don't wear korkers as the noise makes the fish spooky. ThrowingTimber 08-23-2004, 07:39 AM Piemma, I heard the same report just yesterday. I hope the bite stays that way for awhile. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
