I'll fight for this meal!!:D spence 08-21-2004, 08:39 PM Jesus, 5 min a side! You might as well make jerky :smash: If it's really fresh just sear it quickly over really high heat. Otherwise a few min a side is usually enough. Tuna cooks very quickly. -spence Backbeach Jake 08-21-2004, 09:15 PM You're right Spence. I peek a lot and I don't cook on high, usually. If I had the willpower, i'd leave it alone fishweewee 08-22-2004, 07:31 AM We likes it R-A-W  bassmaster 08-22-2004, 09:12 AM bliz I love U spence 08-22-2004, 09:13 AM Feeessssshhhhhiiiisssss :p I like it raw but tossed in a little acidic marinade just a bit. justplugit 08-22-2004, 11:26 AM My nephew owns a restaurant and cooks about 1 min each side, till it just turns grey. Tastes lie the best filet mignon ya ever ate. DaveS 08-22-2004, 01:57 PM A little lemon juice on each side, some dill, grill 2 minutes each side or till it turns grey, delicious. SmokeBringer 08-22-2004, 04:56 PM make a wet rub: couple (or 3 :-) tablespoons Emiril's Southwest spice couple of tablespoons Malt Vinegar few tabkespoons of oil (I like corn oil) Soak Tuna for 45 minutes or so Wave it at the grill for a minute or 2 Serve with a bottle of '99 Rancho Zabaco Zin (2001 isn't bad either) P.S. Take the wet rub that you soaked tuna in and baste it on some zucchini, potabello mushroom, and vidalias. Grill these slightly longer than the tuna (but not much) sportsman 08-23-2004, 09:36 AM You guy's are making me hungry Bliz 08-23-2004, 10:06 AM You're right! That stuff cooks FAST!!!... Cook for about two minutes on high on the grill and about 45 seconds on the other. Make a sauce with a little orange juice and teriyaki marinade (not the thick stuff.) add some powdered ginger, finish with butter and a bit of chopped cilantro. YUM!
