Hello all, and thanks to all who took part and helped with this project. Beetle said it best. It was for the kids and that is where its at.

A huge thanks and my gratitude goes out to all those who participated last night......all those who donated plugs for the Charity and to the volunteers who helped set up last night! What a great time it was, I hope all who came enjoyed the evening......from what I heard though.....looks like we might have to have "Plug Night 3" next year......and in a bigger hall!:eek: As Beetle said, because of all of you, we raised $1,411.00 for the Childrens Hospital in Boston last night and that felt really great....thanks again on behalf of Bassmaster, MSBA and myself!:D As usual, I did not get to speak with many of you at any length as I was busy runnin' the show....but it was great to see you all and say hello! Thanks to all the site members whom I had not had the pleasure to have met yet for coming up and saying hello to me....nice meeting many new faces! A special thanks to JohnR for running this site and having such a classy bunch of individuals on board as we do here......cept'n of course for BM......he is in a class by himself!;) Thanks Bassmaster for doin' what you do so well! You builders never, ever cease to amaze me with your work.......you inspired me, you tutored me, and dammit......have made me a plug building junkie like yourselves and for that I thank you!:happy: As Bassmaster said...."You can never build enough of em'....and you can never have enough of them"......ain't it the truth Bubba!:)

BF, That was a great time. It was good to put a few more faces w/ people from the site here. You just need to change the Location closer to the North Shore :D I can pretty much guarentee I'll be at Plug Night III

I am also now the proud owner of my 1st Bassmaster needle, which I plan to put to the test this weekend.

Also picked up one from the Newell Guy which is earmarked for the Fall Run.

Plug nite was incredible. The workmanship you folks put into you plugs is mindboggling. Dave (Bassmaster) was amazing, his plugs are like artwork. He put a lot of time and effort into that presentation and he should be commended. Although we all had a great time watching dave and browsing all the great plugs, the true winners were the children. Great job folks.

BTW - Dave, where can I get a couple of your needlefish? Do you sell them?

I am sorry that I missed last nite, I should have paid more attention to when and where it was. It sounds like it was a good time. It would have been a great chance to meet some of you guys as well. I will be at the next one.

well I had a great time nice to see some familar faces and meet so new ones! BM's plug turning set was GREAT!!! thanks for making the PIKEe Dave, hopefullyI'll remember the sanding part, I always held the body with my hand no wonder it would come out crapy. The plugs link jr got will all be fished no wall hangings
all and all my son and myself had a great time, got home @ midnight up @2;30am off to the Canadian border with a load of powder@3;15 am and made an on time delivery then caught some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's but don't tell my boss:rolleyes:

Last night when Bigfish called out the last number to the red ticket that I was clutching to the point that all color was leaving my fingers I was overjoyed. The patriotic plug was sitting on the kitchen table this morning when my wife came downstairs. It has sinced been temporarily moved to a table behind the couch. Bev doesn't know it yet but it is going up on the mantle next to the plaque that my new best friend BasicPatrick helped me win last year on the Vineyard. Larry, you did a wonderful job turning the plug and to the yound man who masterfully painted the plug I will let you both know now that it will never leave my possesion or the mantle. I am so proud to own it I am almost overwhelmed. I am also hnored to have helped out Children's Hospital like everyone else was and is for sure. We have a great club full of wonderful members who give selflessly to so many for so little recognition. Also to everyone on this list, Jon and his family most of all, tight lines and I'll see you on the Vineyard. Oh ya one more thing, watch out for Bassmaster, when he put his arm around me when I was walking over to the prize table I didn't know what was going to happen. It turned out O.K. though I guess I wasn't his type.

We have a great club full of wonderful members who give selflessly to so many for so little recognition.

Frank....congrats!:D I am pleased that someone who truely appreciates the effort that went into the plug won it!;) My effort was simple, it was Mike who did the tough work of transforming that plug into a piece of artwork! I hope you get to enjoy that plug for many years Swimmer and I am glad you enjoyed yourself last night!:D
