Due to a recent infestation of bluefish, many of my plugs have been stripped clean of bucktail/synthetic hair.I'm trying to come up with something more durable.Epoxy, superglue, and even the wife's nail polish can't protect the thread wraps for long.Bluefish are like swimming rats, they can gnaw through anything, it seems. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How about a nice bare VMC siwash or treble

Just change 'em out after the chompers have passed.

I doubt he will tell you what he uses, but, #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&'s fishhair tyed 6/0 VMC's, are the toughest I've ever seen, don't know what he uses for thread, it's heavy duty, and he must put something over the top. I've got a couple that should be stripped clean, been thru a couple of good bluefish blitzes, but they look amazingly good.

Thanks, fellas. The kevlars a good idea for me 'cause a buddy of mine that used to work at a tackle shop gave me some spools of the stuff that didn't sell. Not the prettiest colors, but a marker can change that. Thanks again for the ideas.
