Someone told me that they thought needlefish were called needlefish because they can sew. I kind of doubted this but figured I would go to the braintrust and see if anyone could clarify this.
Is it true that the original natives used to use them as sewing needles for fixing their waders ?

oh yes they did use needles but I think it was for drugs . the seal skin waders that they used were to tough so they invented peace needles to shoot scag with their enemies
