neh, no sharks.
wasn't really motiated to go offshore,and my friend i had with me gets sea sick if he can't see land.

next weekend we're all over the sharks though.

heard chatter on 69 someone was bringing in a 300# dressed mako.

them pollock are around all the time :)
when I go smelting you hear people bitch and moan about getting them instead of smelts.

Me? I keep em and eat em!
head-em, gut em, sizzle up some butter in a cast iron pan and fry em up!! I dont bother with any flour either!
skin cooks off and just eat and eat and eat !!!

been doin that since I was 8

That's what we use in France :

a chain of 6 feathered hooks, one foot between, size 4, with red and yellow feather. If you can't buy it, make it !

Put a spoon at one end as a weight, works on fish too. Must be enough weighted not to drift to far away from tha boat (stay vertical and jig it).
