I have secured reservations on Block Island for the nights of Oct.1st & 2nd, departing Oct. 3rd. If anyone is interested in signing up for this trip, please send me a PM to reserve a spot. The maximum people for the trip is 16, there are currently 7 openings remaining for this trip. Several...lets say "unique" SB members are already signed up for the trip. The cost is $119.00 per person for 2 nights stay at the center road apartments. Note, you will be required to pay for and arrange your own transportation to and from the island. I would recommend teaming up in groups of 2-3 to minimize the ferry costs for vehicle passage. Here is a link to the Block Island ferry: <http://www.blockislandferry.com/>

Reservation Details:

The "Center Road Apartments" are located on Center Road where the road intersects with Old Town Road and
Beacon Hill Road, about one mile from town and Crescent Beaches. There are three apartments total, one on each level. We have reserved all the apartments.

Note, to get around the awkward sleeping / bedding arrangements, bring a self inflating mattress and sleeping bag.

On the first level you have a unit with two bedrooms, one full bathroom & a full kitchen open to a living area. The bedding consists of 1 queen, 1 double and a pull-out sofa in the living room. (Sleeps 6 max)

On the second level you have another unit with two bedrooms, one with a queen, one with a double, and a pull-out futon in the living room, one full bathroom, and full kitchen open to a living area. (Sleeps 6 max)

On the third level you have our four person unit with one bedroom with a queen bed, studio layout with one double pull-out futon, one bathroom and
kitchenette. (Sleeps 4 max)

Linens for the beds and bath towels will be supplied.

Arrival Date: Friday, October 1st Check-in after 4pm.
Departure Date: Sunday, October 3rd Check-out before 11am.

Check-in and check-out for all accommodations will be at Block Island
Reservations. Our office is located in the lobby of the Harborside Inn
(directly
across from the Old Harbor Ferry Landing).

All accommodations are non-smoking.
No excess consumption of alcohol.
No X-wives allowed.
No farm animals.
And NO BM PANTS ALLOWED
:laughs:

Strider,

At this point it's looking like I'm going to catch the 9 a.m. ferry on SATURDAY from PJ.

I'm coming from midtown Manhattan, so it will be tough for me to catch the last ferry out.

Anyone who wants to hitch a ride, let me know.

I can't even sit still at my desk. My mind is already over there.

I had a great time out there, nice meeting you Tony O. and 5/0 Bob. You guys can tow the line, walking those miles with piles of boulders under foot. Loved those stairs on the southwest, 145 in total :boots: I think I saw one of Chrispy's lungs at the top of the stairs, guess that what happens while dragging a 28# bass to the top :D

I'm beat.
It was a FUN time. Too many laughs. A GREAT group of guys. When the fishin is disappointin, always good to have a "Plan B" to fall back on. Tony and Bob, great to finally meet you two. Good folk in my book. Look forward to gettin together some more.
Thanks for puttin it all together Rich.

Once we got back, was weird driving more than 30 MPH and not driving down the middle of the road to avoid deer poachin with the truck.

An enjoyable, laugh filled, SAFE trip.

At least there were no seals over there to blame it on. Was amzed at the lack of other people fishin over there.
Congrats to my partner Krisp on the big fish of the weekend.

We all earned every fish we caught.

Just wanted to say I had a great time last weekend. Thanks to all who organized the trip. I did not get to spend as much time with the guys as I would have liked but I was doing the father thing with my son Matt. He was kind of star struck meeting Rich and Toby and the other guys. He thought your vehicles looked like a Navy Seal comando fishing operation. I am still seeing rocks in my sleep and my Korkers are basically destoyed. My son thinks it was funny to see his father knocked off a rock and swimming around for a bit. Although I did not do too well, I learned a lot and will be better prepared next time.

Rob, it was great seeing you and meeting son Matt. Bringing Matt out to the Block is a very cool thing to do. Glad you guys could make it. We all did a little slipping and sliding out there in the wash. I think Redlite (Mike) was floating around out there. I heard something about perched on a rock casting eels, then washed off and a redlite bobbing in and under the water.

It was all great fun, just wished the cows were in.
