Well, I went out tonight for an evening of fishing at barrington beach. Parked on my usual side street for easier access so i dont have to walk as far down the beach. Well, I had my St Croix ben doerr 8 1/2 foot rod /Penn slammer combo strapped on top of my truck as i went to do some fly fishing. I get back to my Xterra afterwards and get my waders off when i notice my rod has been stolen:af: :af: I am so F@#^ing pissed right now i want to hurt somebody bad:af: So many low lifes down there tonght i should have known better and put it IN my truck.....Usually so many solid people around that area that i didnt even think twice. If anyone sees someone with a nice ST Croix rod and reel that doesnt look like its something they bought let me know. I doubt theres much the cops can do so im gonna stake out every F#^#ing low life I see for the rest of the season....and hopefully bust someone in the Jaw at some point and get my rod back:(

really sucks...
I hope they are not fishermen; just run of the mill crack addicts looking for 5 bucks. Was your name on it??

Sorry to hear about the lost gear...

Lots of good people there but unfortunately this isn't the first time I've heard of this happening.

It's definitely a place to keep an eye on your gear, especially once it hits the papers that the blues are doing their thing. A different crowd shows up then.

By the way, if you ever figure out how Jerome smokes those blues the way he does please let me know. No one I know ever got it out of him. It's been several years since I've fished there, but if he's still around be sure to try and grab a few pieces of blue from him. Best smoked fish ever....

His bluefish stew was pretty incredible as well.

Yea, that bites. I used to leave mine sticking out through the sunroof with the top closed so they would be difficult to get out, but once I got a nice rod I always lock them inside.

Yeah that definately sucks. Always one of my biggest concerns when I head out. Bad enough we see all these jerks out there partying and leaving their trash but then to have your stuff messed with or taken, I agree makes you want to hurt someone (them). Hope you find the bastages. :behead:

That really bites bro, hope you find the rod and the d#*khead that took it. A buddy of mine fell asleep at the canal a couple of years ago while fishing and had his tackle box taken away from right next to him. Good thing for them he didn't wake up, martial arts expert. Too bad:wall:

My brother had 2 rods and reels stolen off the top of his car earlier this summer at Parsons beach. It was 6am and his 16 year old son was asleep in the car. Enough to make you want to :smash:

There's always gonna be A-Holes in the world i guess....At least i know to NEVER leave my rod unattnded. Should have known that in the first place:smash: I went to the BArrington police station and gave the officer all the info and he was very gracious. Not much they can do but maybe thay can at least scare some of those low lifes outta my fav. parking spot:D Just gotta keep my eyes peeled and maybe one day ill catch that clown with my rod....Then bust some teeth in!:D

Im so pissed about the rod but i can always go out and get another with no problem. Its the personal stuff like cameras with family pics that meen alot more. Cant replace stuff like that. That would make me even more pissed if something like got ripped.

Yeah, I was pissed about the camera. I had no family pictures, but a ton of great fish pictures. I went into the store for a second, when I came out my backpack was gone with my camera:af:

Use to happen all the time in Narragansett before the state put in the parking lot at Black Point. We would park on the side streets and the college kids would break our truck windows to steal stuff to buy beer.
Sorry to hear about your loss. I bring what I can carry. I leave nothing of value in the truck.

I was there that day, I saw the two kids that were kind of strange and kept staring at the car while I was getting rigged up, I told your bro when he told me what happened..but the kids already took off.
