Congrats and Good work, RM. Did all go according to your master plan you old (I can call you old now, right?) romantic, you?

Thanks guys. She is awesome. She goes down to the Cape with me every weekend. Although she doesn't fish she never gives me any gripe about leaving all hours of the night. She doesn't fish unless I am doing the bait and wait while I am plugging or using two rods and get a double.

Jimbo

Awwwwwwwwwww, what a sweetie he is. He hooks up and then hands her the rod to reel it in. That's so nice.

I wish somebody had let me in on this secret before it happened.
Oh Mikey, you lost your youth (turning 30) and your independence (proposing) on the same day.
At least you still have your hair; oops, that's gone too.
I'm sure you made Trishy very happy, this was all we talked about on vacation; she was sure it was never going to happen, and it happened three weeks later.
Good luck,
Don't end up like me, well like I was.
Later,
Rappin Rick
I'll call you tonite.

Because

Your fishing time won't completely disappear when RM, Jr comes along, but you might want to consider lining up a sitter now for TFCTFF Night 2007. Reliable childcare is the toughest to find. Maybe "Uncle Rick" will babysit?

If it's right it's right and you have my congratulations. This coming week on the 16th I and my bride will celebrate our 25th anniversary ( after picking daughter #2 from Volleyball, getting her and her older sister to the orthodontists, going to the bank, taking number #1 daughter out for a driving lesson and stopping at the market):D

I wouldn't trust "uncle Rick" to babysit a pair of socks let alone a baby!

because why ?

good call Mikey , not even with a pair of dirty sox !
flap it will be 20 for me on the 28th we will be celebrating with both of my daughters ( its also daughter 1's 10th birthday ) .

awesome! Just introduce your kids to fishing at a young age, as was done to me. than, when they get into debt buying super nice tackle they can't afford, you can rent it:rolleyes: did you do the cast out, get tired and have her retrieve it thing?

This is how I did it. I bought a bottle of champagne with out her knowing. Drove up to the Coast Guard in Truro. Told her I wanted to have a glass of bubbly on the beach during sunset on my birthday. We walked down towards the water. Then I asked her if she knew what I really wanted for my birthday. She said what. Then I got down on one knee and pulled the ring out of my pocket. She started to cry. Then she said yes.

BW-she has no idea that I fish like that at night during low tides.:D

i wonder how many of us proposed at a beach, a place close to our hearts and fish! that's where i did the deed.

It would take too long to describe the how and where I got engaged ordeal first took place, but we're coming up on 20 years now or maybe I'll wait until 25 and renew the vows in a beach setting. I always liked Chapin, maybe Great Island. Good idea.

One of the guys on the board gave me the idea for champagne. I can't remember who it was and I already cleaned my box. But if you are out there thank you.
