Can someone try to explain or talk me through how to put a picture in the box (author? ) under my screen name, the one that list date registered, location, number of post ?

click on "user cp" button below the adbanner at the top of the page.

then click on edit options

and way down below is the avatar
click on the button "Change Avatar"

and then change it :)
