This might sound strange, but I'm trying to combine a little exercise and fishing.

I'm really starting to enjoy the walk-the-sandy beach-and-plug thing, if anyone is up for 5+ mile round trip walks in Rhody or the Cape, please let me know.

Just make sure you bring along a lot of water to drink to keep ya hydrated and leave the neoprenes at home. :)

When and where you plan on going - I'm nutz.... I don't mind doing a little walking and some fishing.

pm me FWW.

I generally prefer the longer walks. Just got back from one in NJ (Hogate on LBI). I'm in CT as well, near Hartford. Tend to frequent the RI walks (Naps) more than the Cape walks (Truro, Nauset, Coast Guard), but I am usually up for either/any. Can do a bit of a walk/wade here in CT as well if you are interested. Was going tonight, but had to cancel out. May do it Tuesday AM or Wednesday PM depending. Let me know if and when and I will try to make it. Either or any of the places.

WeeWee.....why don't you name a meeting place/date/time and then we can all show up?

Maybe M&D's for a meeting spot, load up on new tackle then hit the beach?

Isn't there a get together for one of the four legs this Sat. ? I think it is at M&D's anyway.

I'd love to go but my wife has other plans for me :( maybe if we get home in a reasonable amount of time, otherwise I'll be at the ditch sunday am.

I've gotten so lazy fishing out of the sand sled. :smash:

By the way, forecast for Saturday p.m. is S/SW winds!

Woo hoo.

I'll go as long as I don't have to wear those cute little ankle socks, pretty sneakers and stretchy togs around my butt. :D

The squibby death march on the Vineyard is always a have to when I'm there. :p

Hey Weewee,

John R and I are going to walk from a certain parking lot to the right past the cobble, around the bowl, to the corner, around the corner, and fish from the rocks to the front of the Presidents wife's house....and back, sometime during the second week in October

Patrick,

I've walked that route many, many times. Miracle I haven't turned an ankle or two.

I have another well-planned hike a few miles away, my very favorite spot in the whole world. ;)
