View Full Version : F150 Tranny Problem bassmaster 09-14-2004, 07:47 PM My idle is high and my tranny wont shift right. seems to be stuck in 1st gear help if you know what You are talkin about thanks Slingah 09-14-2004, 07:55 PM go down Commercial street get your self a new tranny....noooo problem:p Raider Ronnie 09-14-2004, 07:58 PM Sounds like a kick down cable is stuck What year is the truck? bassmaster 09-14-2004, 08:04 PM 95 f150 idle is way high on it Raider Ronnie 09-14-2004, 08:13 PM Try following the accelerator cable to the intake on top of the enging , and see if there is an other cable going down to the tranny or a linkage instead if a cable. Try soaking it with some penetrating oil like wd40 or another and crawl under and try spraying where it connects to the tranny, then try moving the gas peddle back and forth a bunch of time to see if it frees up. Ronnie bassmaster 09-14-2004, 08:36 PM that aint it, I think its ok now. I took a hunk of tubing from my live well and fixed one cracked vacume line with that and tape dont know if that was it I just unplugged vacume lines and pluged them in. i dont give a i just want to fish and the truck can blow up later. need fish Im outa here gone fishing thanks Karl F 09-14-2004, 09:20 PM I know exactly what it is..... 278,000 miles, and no fluid change ;) Just drive it, if it ain't dead yet, Bubba, it just ain't gonna die. I know guys that sometimes put on 100 plus miles a night, chasing fish 5P.M. till 3 or 4 A.M. If you live in Falmouth and go to P-town and back, theres an easy 100 plus miles, without hunting around. Cape might not be as small as you think. Fish ain't always in the hole closest to you, either, wind and other factors, sometimes screws it up, and you got to hunt. bassmaster 09-15-2004, 12:08 PM Karl,, they have no idea what we do in a night, not that i care cause thay aint Me:D Surfcastinglife 09-15-2004, 12:09 PM will fix problem for plugs :laughs: bassmaster 09-15-2004, 12:28 PM Originally posted by redneck24 just broken in! :D :D frig the bridge partsjay 09-15-2004, 01:16 PM Hey BM, PM me if you need any parts for it.
