I have office 2000 on my home computer I do not have the disk.

I copied it and brought it to the office the files are on my computer now but I cant seem to start it is there a way to install it with out the original disk.

not sure if the license that allows you to use you work version at home, can reverse and allow your home version at work.

you do need to run the darn installer most of the time.
you could just try openoffice.org as an alternative to the Microsoft monopoly.

If you just copied the installation files off your hard drive...this won't work :(

You need to install it on the machine.

take my tower from home and switch it at the office now I have office and ppl will be able to open my files again I dont know whats up with works but I can never send a file Ive tried everything but they can never open them.

i have a copy of office 2000 and it works great. if you want you can borrow it or i can maybe get it copied again. might save you the trouble of long downloads and spending 100 bucks on it

If the license allows it, go for it.
Again, defer to the license for the product purchaced.
The terms can vary widely.

Microsoft Office is nice, but prohibitively expensive for just general home use. Why don't you guys check out Open Office, it's free and it does have the ability to open MSWORD files.
