View Full Version : Shark Attack

I can now officially say I've been attacked by a shark. While raking sand eels about 4:00 am this past Monday, I felt a tug on my eel bag, I lifted the bag out of the water to find a 2 foot spiny dogfish firmly attached, trying to munch my bait!

At 4:00a, and barely awake, it was quite a start to see this toothy little rascal trying to make off with my hard earned striper french fries.

I tried to drive a few eel rake tines into the shark, but he made haste and so did I, but not before he bit a 3-4 inch diameter hole in my bag. They're everywhere! Who says they're endangered?

Fished down on Town Neck in Sandwich the other night and all we caught were 7 dog's. I can't believe they come in so close.

I was wading pretty deep at my usual point and had a dogfish run into my leg. Was pretty scary late at night.

I have never seen dogfish come in so close ever. I have seen them in 4 ft of water. The government should worry about protecting the baitfish instead of this trash of the sea..
