I think not! I turn the TV on in time to see Foulke serve up a 9th inning, go ahead, 2 out, 1 on, 3-2 homerun to Lopez!:smash: Then to start the bottom of the ninth for the Sox, Francona leads off the inning by pinch hitting Kevin Youklis for Metkiewich? Where is the plus there? Yeah, thats who I would pinch hit but it gets worse! After Youklis walks, and Muellar hits a wall scraping double to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs.....who does Francona then pinch hit for Pokie????? David McCarty!!!:smash: Yeah, he is the man.....:smash: Where was Kevin Millar???? Had he been in the game already? McCarty is hitting a hefty .248 this season? You don't have anyone better to put in in that situation to drive the ball somewhere to at least tie the game? I would have pinch hit Dave Roberts before I would have pinch hit Youklis or McCarty but unfortunately, Francona put Roberts in to pinch run for Youklis! McCarty pops up! Nice.....can't even put the ball in play? Sox were lucky to win that game last night....LUCKY! Yeah, so what they did after all win the game right? That is great but again, I question Franconas managerial thought process! Give him time and I guarantee Francona will make Grady Little look like Einstein!

Just checked Millars status last night....sorry he pinch hit in the eighth and drove in the first run! Why not pinch hit Doug Mirabelli instead of McCarty in that situation? Mirabelli has some pop in his bat and is hitting .279?

How about the Red Sox stagnant bats though, huh?

There is no way that McCarty should be on the post season roster, what happened to that guy, remember in spring training, he led the league in homers. I know its pre-season but this guy is horrible now.Dont need his defense anymore either.... as for Francona, I just cant get a grasp on this guy, just when I think I figured him out...I realize i havent?

How do you guys think Francona will handle Bonds in the Series? Will he pitch to him?
