Not that I think I am the swell master but this morning we have a relatively benign swell with a 14 SECOND period !

With those 3 storms rolling around out there expect today through the weekend (and possibly more) to be big and SNEAKY waves from the south.

With a long period the waves can sneak up on you and slam you by surprise.

Fish safe everyone and keep you eyes on the horizon as much as you can. You will see the bumps which will tell you a set is coming through.

:D

Sneaky nothing at the the point yesterday. Plates in the parking lot from all over, all carrying big boards. Lots and lots of big waves. Fun to watch. Sometimes I have found the best weather and wave info on the surfing sites. Quite the "grapevine" those dudes have going. Looks like the next one is coming up the coast in a hurry if you believe the weather guys. Fishing before the storm anyone?

Absolutely.Lastnight and this morning were quite productive.

There was the occasional big wave lastnight that would've definitely caught you by surprize if you weren't paying attention.Korkers were a must.Had to have the "dig in"
factored in.
