Fished Sat. from Scorton Ledge to Fingers for 6 hrs. I couldn't find a bass. A few blues. Didn't see anyone catch a bass. Would have figured they would have the feed bag on by now. I was out on Wed. and same thing happened, no bass a few blues. Very slow. I'll be out on Mon. morning too. Maybe I'll try Billingsgate. It's got ot pick up sometime. P.M.

The reports of the bay say that a large portion of the bass that have been hanging around have moved. I can only hope that it will make room for a lot more to make thier way in.

I was out there too Saturday morning and got the skunk, blues kept taking my worms off of my tube but that was it:( Then today trolled and plugged in and around Quicks and Robinsons only 1 28" fish to show for it.:( I was told Monomoy and Squibnockett is where the fish are.

I have been out squibby way (alot lately). There is a lot of boat pressure at some popular spots and if you have a small boat and if your not comfortable with large swells (that can crest in the shoals) I would not recommend it. Even today (which was much better then the other day) my depth finder measure some swells @ 10'+.

There are a few comm guys that are eeling that have the holes pegged and have nailed some very impressive catches. But I also see a bunch of rec guys trolling all day with not much to show for it.

What I have found is that at times they have lockjaw and will not take a thing even though you put a live one in front of them . Your FF is showing plenty of big ones but your eel is going unmolested. You need to keep going until they decide to feed, then you will score big. Don't ask me why they turn off like that and what makes them turn on....I wish I knew. It is frustrating. I thought it was me. I changed everything. Its them...Just give them some time. All I can say is there is a lot of big fish out there.
It may take a few trips but you will get them. Frankly I think it is about to turn on (more inshore) after this weather later this week. They are moving now and are looking for food.....got (big) bait?

IMO the fish are headed more inshore now. Those CH fish are the exact size that were off MV last week. Last week the body of fish at CH were mostly schoolies. Those 30# class fish have just arrived. 40's are a few days behind them.

Sandman I know what you mean about swell, was kind of weird how it just seemed to sneak up on me, one minute I was bouncing off of boat wakes and the next it was ocean swell, though not any way near 10'. And the weather and sea's were great yesterday for a change:D

Brace yourself...tue night and wed looks like a another blow-out...8-12' predicted here on the south side.

Monday on the Bay the weather was as good as it gets, mill pond flat. The fishing was another story. Just blues . Went from the north end of Billingsgate to the fingers to Barnstable and only got 2 blues. The good thing was that I did not see any of the charter guys get anything either. Did see several tuna again though. Just got to keep putting the time. Maybe the blow from the northeast on Wed. will pick things up. P.M.

I fished Sat. & Sun. out of Westport covering Buzzards Bay to Nomans, only caught a few blues. This was about the slowest fishing of the season for me. The bite was off.

Agreed. Saturday and Sunday were the two slowest days of the season for me fishing around the Elizabeth's. Found a couple big fish today, but they were few and far between.
