Dogs were hitting castmasters and bucktails this weekend. Does anyone know if there is a bait or lure that will go deep, but won't attract the dogs?

I like the demolition approach, but that will just make more chum and attract more.
Do dogfish eat crabs and lobsters? Perhaps a sinking crab or lobster pattern with the fly gear? Anyone???
