heard schills comments, he did'nt sound too sure about coming back for another game. he's obviously a hurting puppy, could'nt push off, could'nt hit 90 mph. being a warrior i know he'll try again.

Unless he feels a lot better I doubt he'll play. Last night had to be devestating for him. They can always bring Lowe into the rotation. It's a crap shoot, but as long as Lowe doesn't have a head case game they may be able to get through it...

Pedro,Lowe and the knuckleballer can finish off the yanks. That comeback last nite was amazing. No way yankee pitchers can stop you guys. Besides, Schill will be rested up and in good shape for the opener vs. Houston or StL. If not, Pedro vs Clemons in Game One would be a blast.

schill needs surgery on his ankle. they're gona try again with a better brace/pain killers but if that doesnt work he's done for the year. looks like its back on petey's shoulders to lead the staff

Schilling's done for the season, whether it lasts two more games or 12 more games---bank on it.

Francona is saving him for the opener against StLouis, the same way Slick-Willie's going to "recover" just in time for a pre-election appearance. This is a wily move by a cagey manager.:gf:

Oh yeah---the Boston papers may have missed it, but before the start of the Minny series, the Yankees fired Stump Merrill as mgr of their AA team and told him he was free to negotiate with any other organization ;)

His wife is a good friend of Theo's mom. They went to school together, which is why she's often a guest in Theo's box..
