these are THE hottest plugs going right now. you'll need to do some serious work to find any. many guys are tighter lipped to Habs sources than fishing spots.

John's needles are great lures. From what I have seen this year he really stepped up in his shipping and distribution and really put out some product much to the delight of Tackle shops and fishermen alike. The only problem is that being that his stuff is so good they are snapped up in days. Falmouth Bait and tackle got a shipment of a couple hundred in August and within a week, poof, sold out. Just keep watching as John and Mike (Tattoo) have been pretty good at posting where they have made recent deliveries of HABS and Tattoo plugs.

Oh yeah, and if you cannot get them remember that Gibbs and #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& make great needles too. ( you need all three for a complete set anyway for differing conditions)

You definitely have to do some legwork to find Hab's. Having connections always helps though...

PM me. I might have a spare used one available.

You might want to ask people how to fish it.

There's nothing on ebay right now, the last one that was sold on Ebay which was still on plastic I think $27.

not to say they aren't worth it. when i snapped off that charcoal 2 ouncer back in august, i would have traded off a VS in a flash for a couple. :bc:

Also,

If you're having a tough time finding Habs, and you want a sinking needlefish...

I suggest you try the Super Strike plastic needlefish.

DonM of King Cove Outfitters (a sponsor here - see his home page) has them in stock.

It is amazing! I knew John when he gave his needles to a select few of us to "field test". Still got quite a few of the originals from the very fisrt batch.

.....yet.... But i'm headed to RI this weekend all the way from NC... One of my goals for the trip (right behind catching a 30#er) is bringing home a habs or two..

I just reread the chapter in "On the Run" last night that talks about Hab's and Tattoo and their plugs.. awesome book by the way.
