John Congrats, on the little one, I hope it all works out for ya and you end up with a little bundle at the end. Now let me give you some advice on being a Dad....let me draw on my vast (4days) experience........err maybe I better not pass any advice on cause I aint got no CLUES (not that, that ever stopped me before) :).....seriously try to make a few of the doctors appointments. Many of them are pretty dull, but you want to be there for the heartbeat, ultra sound etc........its an experience let me tell ya.....cherish it its a lot of fun.

Thanks John, looking forward to it! Just a tad nervous, first time dad and all... My wife told me to fish hard this year (like I wasn't going to anyway) because next year I'll be wound tight over a little baby girl or boy... It actually really drove home Sunday. I went fishing (casting) and the wife went to a baby show. My heart started beating abnormally when I saw the tiny pacifiers they gave away at the show... That is when it home...
Best of luck to you, Christa, and the new little one, Kathryn Yvonne...

John I can tell ya it never seemed real in a lot of ways. Sure I heard the heart and saw the ultrasounds but it never seemed real. When Kats head popped out it seemed very real all the sudden :)

I think I'll be in the room holding her hand but I can assure you I will not have a camcorder or catcher's mit when the
moment arrives...

I'll take the watching part under advisement...I was thinking of my laptop with a cellular internet connection to slowly show the grandparents the first pictures (not the actual birth)...

Smiley faces will be generally available shortly... Trying to simplify the emotion icon process first...

John, trust me on this one---you don't want to chicken out at the last minute. Words rarely fail me--as you well know --but that whole experience of the moment of birth is just indescribable. Save the photos for when they have him/her all cleaned and swaddled, and they hand you the little "package". There really isn't anything way describe it, you just have to experience it. Best of luck to you and da bride. And look forward to the kid's first fishing trip with Uncle #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&
