View Full Version : I Hope This Seasons Version Of Special High Top Sneakers Brings More Luck!
BigFish 10-19-2004, 05:28 PM Remember Buckner had special high top sneakers in 1986? Well, things did not work out well that year as we all know but I hope for all of us....even me, and most especially you true die hard Sox fans (and you know who you are) that I really enjoy tossing the barbs back and forth with here that these high top sneakers that Curt Schilling is wearing, bring us luck and hopefully a win over the Yankees tonight and in the series!:btu:
Go get em' Schill!:walk:

Larry,
Are you worried that those high tops are going to be worn by a guy who gets the team in position to win, and then they plan tonight to bring in Calvin Schiraldi and then Bob Stanley to surrender the tying runs!!! :smash:

Bob Thomas 10-19-2004, 09:31 PM That's where they gave him the shots. They said it was either the meds or blood

Bill L 10-19-2004, 09:41 PM Eb, he injured it before the series, tore a tendon sheath or somthin. didnt come out as a big deal until after the poor performance in game 1, and then he was questionable for the rest of the season. Had a special shoe for support , but hes not wearing it now
Bill L 10-19-2004, 09:42 PM He has had shots of anisthetic in the last game, thats where the blood may be from now
o.k. I knew about the tendons but i couldnt figure out why he was bleeding... poor guy:(
thanks toonoc:cheers:
spence 10-19-2004, 11:46 PM Detached tendon. They stapeled the loose ends to his skin to keep them from moving around. Hence the bloody sock.
What a BADA$$ :zup:

bud8fan 10-20-2004, 12:03 AM Yep...
The stitched up Curt's skin to prevent the tendon from popping in and out.....
