I dont know if its a coincidence but they won 4 games on the 4 days i fished and lost on the three i didnt. I guess that means that i absolutly HAVE to fish during the world series, just the day ofm, doesnt have to be during the game for the luck to work.

My brother moved to Florida a few weeks ago, and he put it best when he sent me a text message in the top of the 9th that said "I dont know whether to cry or S___ myself right now..."

That summed it up for me....
I was speachless after the game when he called... I dont think either of us said anything, but between two fans, so much was said by the fact that we couldnt say anything

Lets go sox... I believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :smash: :D

All this talk of them having a let down is BS... remember, StL or Hou is going to play 7 games as well..............

KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't feel like working, all I can think about is the amazing series we just saw. I bet the World Series ratings are not as good as the ALCS.

Awesome! Best quotes of the day, "maybe Stienbrenner didn't spend enough money", "Break out the defribulators" and the one I like best , " the Red Sox just gave the Yanks an Atomic Wedgie!"

Four more an the ol' bambino is toast! Go Sox.:btu: :btu: :btu: :claps: :claps:

Obnoxious Yankees fans reap what they sow.

The torch has been passed and they are now responsible for the greatest choke in sports history!

I heard Bill Buckner is going to throw out the 1st pitch opening up the world series on Saturday night. The curse is not lifted by beating the Yankees, it will only be exercised if they beat the Cardinals/Astros?

all I do know is they better start looking for a third base coach.Bonehead... Imagine if he was a crossing gaurd, there would be kids smooshed all over the road by SUV,s:hihi:

Dunno who he is, but he reminds me of a great quote Mike Barnickle had in the Globe when Rene Lachman was the third base coach: "If Lachman was an air traffic controller, Boston Harbor would be littered with planes"

It was great to see that KL Mulder got to be there to witness Boston's sucess!

Too bad he was there to route for the Yankee's! :laughs:

Perhaps that's why he didn't answer his cell phone at Yankee Stadium last night!...

I'm sure that the place was quiet enough for him to hear his phone! :laughs:

What was he thinking.

As for Mulder and the Broadcasters maybee now they will give us some props. Probably not but a little would be nice. All the Yanks in the lockerroom were humbled I thought.:D

I'm still wondering why the Ghost of the Babe was lurking around Shea back in October of '86  Shea was a flippin' junkyard when he died (and you could make a good argument that it still is :D )

Does it still lurk around BU's football field, which used to be Braves Field? I mean, that's where he ended his career.

Maybe that's the reason the Braves have something like 13 straight division titles with only one Series win (and they had to play the freakin' Indians to get that one).

Probably, I live in one of the dorms in front of that field and there are rumors about babe's ghost roaming about...not that I believe them of course, though I'd prefer him over at fenway park more than here :smash: :D oh yeah, congrats:crying:

I used to work and live around Nickerson - there is no curse.

There is no curse at Fenway - never was

There is no curse!

There is no curse!

There is no curse!

There is no curse!

It's a way to sell books and papers - there is no curse (and I'm a superstitous person and there is no curse  )

I really don't believe much in luck, curses, secret mojo etc.. I think you make your own "luck" with the skills you got available to you and your desire to take it to the oponent. Hey I used to think Tiger Woods was lucky when he first came on tour. But I don't think that any more.

Sox won this last series with superior pitching and the longer the series went the more the law of averages work out. (Matsui, Schefield etc.. weren't going to keep hitting .500 as more games were played)

You can have all the luck. I'll take the team with good offense, good D and most importantly the best pitching.

SOX in 7 :D

I do believe in luck, what are the odds of getting 2 tics to 3 world series games for face value..:D

I pray it does go 7, Boston on Halloween night winning the world series..and maybe, just maybe I will catch Big Poppi's homerun ball... as I sit at Pesky's poll..Woooooooooooooo:happy:
