Make sure there isn't a floppy disk in the drive

It could be trying to boot from the jump drive. Remove it and try again

it sounds like your Hard drive may have gone south.

Try opening it up ansd re-seating the cables just to make sure nothing came loose.

Have you added anything or installed any S/W recently?

I agree ... reseat your drive connections, Hard and Floppy.....

....probably a HD gone bad. Swap out the drive with the one in this computer, see if it boots to windows. That may help narrow it down....Can you start in Safe-Mode??

make double-triple sure no floppy or CD in the machine. also unplug the jump drive. make sure the bios is set to boot from the correct location - if unsure and it still fails, write down the settings and then cycle through to make sure it didnt get confused and "renumber" the disks due to the addition of the jump drive. what used to be A,C,D can become A,C,D,E and your previous D is now E with the jumpdrive as D.

:) rob-s! on your computer go to "My Computer" look and see if it shows floppy A; and D I do believe If they are not there then they are broken!!! Had to replace both of mine 4weeks ago!! I also had to bypass and use temporary!!! I paid 30 bucks apiece for the disk and works excellent now!!!! It usually on one breaks at a time!!! And even tho you do not use the floppy or the disk to your computer you still need them to run it!!!
;)
