Well I just got back from the Doctors office and couldn't be happier. All the tests came back negative. The Dr said it is just a matter of time for things to get back to normal and to be patient. Supposedly I will be back to my old self in 5 or 6 weeks so just knowing this will make the time pass easier.

I want toThank everyone for their thoughts,prayers and well wishes as they are greatly appreciated.:happy: :happy: :happy: :happy: :happy:

Dave, that is great news. Guess you will have to just bide your time by doing something creative like, uh, umm, making plugs! As Karl said you are on a roll and go play a quick pick but don't buy any lottery cards from Karl, I hear he has all the winners picked out before he puts them in the rack! Now rest easy and kick back, Flap.:D

:laughs: wish that were so, but believe it or not, I'm in a booze store with no lottery... we used ta, but PIA, and very small margin, we saw also that when it was a big jackpot, and the lines got long, we lost booze sales....so ya don't have to be a rocket scientist to do the math, out they went. Besides, the convienience store next door has it...when the jackpot gets big, 0ur soda and ciggarette, candy, chips, sales go thru the roof, 'cause people hate to waitin line :D

:D A liquor store without a lottery sales thingie? That's a first. I was fishing down the street from you last night but the water was a bit icky still so I went way north and caught little guys of both varieties. :D

went for a short while, didn't see ya,(it's a big place), little dirty, yeah, but all smalls, better out back, but finicky. didn't feel like going north, was home by 9:30

I was outa that lot before it got dark. I was in the parking lot by the gazebo. Man it was cold there. What is all that reddish color from in the sand where the beach used to be? Nice bar to the left but both sides heavy with suspended rock weed and rafts of eelgrass. Glad you caught them there. Maybe next week me, you and that Bum Bassmaster can hook up and scour the shoreline for twinkies! ( I'll make sure he eats first).:D

Karl F

reds from the clay sediment in the sand, at least that's what some of the old-timers tell me. yeah, sounds good, SW winds a comin :happy: I'll buy ya both a 99 cent burger :cool: let me know, I got next week off, painting 2 bedrooms, so I'll need to be sidetracked at least once! :rolleyes:

The red (often seen as purple or black here) are generally "heavies" which is a generic term for heavy minerals. Well the next question is what are heavy minerals? Glad you asked.. heavy minerals are garnets, amphiboles, magnetite etc.. they have the same mass as the Quartz, feldspar and rock fragment sand grains, but the heavies are slightly smaller in size (higher density) so they dont "stick up" as high as the Quartz et al. Because of this, they have less surface area for water to grab onto and are left behind, often called a lag deposit, through a process called selective deposition.
That being said I have seen clay that was eroded from the bluffs form a coating on the beach on both cape cod and Block I, but I'd wager what you guys are seeing are heavy minerals;

Probably more than you ever wanted to know, but then again I am the ranting and raving geologist :D :topic: and MAC, sorry about the HiJack, glad to hear things are looking up!
